Wow- imagine if someone had the button pressing capability of shifting to Steve's next slide during his keynote. He's building suspense, toying with us, and bam. Revealed. On to next slide, hold, next slide, finally A/V guy turns projector off.

The "Only way" ?
What, you could not use a laptop?
And how would an iPad only owner read the CD in the 1st place?
Yes the iPad made a nice easy to use picture viewer once you had put the images on it from your real computer at home is what you are saying.
You could just of easy taken a laptop which read the CD images off directly onto the screen and no needed this new device whatsoever.
Who owns a laptop? Not I. Should I pull one out of thin air to appeal to your invalid response?
How would an iPad only owner USE an ipad without activation? Your argument is completely without merit. They make these things called iMacs, try one! They are fantastic for the home, but a little hefty for trip to the doc.
I could have driven a Daewoo, but I took a BMW. *WINK* (http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d5/audiogodz1/IMG_0053copy.jpg)

I'm getting really tired of reading "iPhone on Verizon 4G after Christmas!" rumors on here. WHy is it that every time someone says "Oh, I've heard the iPhone's coming to Verizon in January," MacRumors puts it on the front page or Page 2? Are enough people so totally obsessed with the iPhone, they pee their pants if they don't hear a Verizon iPhone rumor every day/every other day?

When did I say anything about what people are "entitled" to be???You implied it very clearly in the post Mord was replying to.

You are aware that the Core2Duo 'requirement' is because Lion is 64-bit, right?
Excellent sig. ;)

The phone is always to big and the screen is never big enough... LOL
I'd rather have them trim the non screen edges than to increase the screen size... But hey, that's just me... And trim a little on the top and bottom also :)

If you had access to these, why would your camera be this bad?
Think about it, even if you were using a 3G iPhone to take the shots, they'd be better quality than this.

Not really to keep stuff safe in the event of a robbery, but to keep a few things safe in the event of some other disaster.

Please Apple, re-orientate the screen so it's portrait, add extra resolution, add icon browsing and surely you'll have a winner. I don't really want a real video iPod, nor with wireless. (unless it's Bluetooth for wireless headphones!) :)

The Apple ecosystem is no more open or closed then any other system, Apple, Android, Rim, Windows etc.
Apple has by far the most restrictive ecosystem. You can't even load applications that are not approved by Apple.

I'd hope that anything purchased online would be new stock, since it lists the new specs at the store.
The only way to really tell would be to test it when you received it, or if someone had a some way to identify new model serial numbers.

Obviously fake. Look at the slanted iPhone writing on the bottom photo. Horrible photoshop skills
yup, that it's tell. unfortunate as I actually rather like the concept. ive never been happy with the iphone's back panel since the 3g got released due to the fact it's not flat.

Next up, Google gives away songs for free. Inserts targeted ads every 30 seconds of music. Fandroids flood the Web to tell us all how awesome Android and "free" Google music are and what a greedy jerk Steve Jobs is for selling songs.
You know it's coming.

First, I'm not sure what kind of wireless is being discussed here. Wireless earphones? wireless docking stationg? wireless internet connectivity? wireless ipod-to-ipod connectivity?
Second, the battery drain on a widescreen video iPod doing some wireless connectivity would be immense. I just can't see how it would last much longer than 1 movie.
Third, I want a wireless earphone setup for running so I don't care about the video!!!!

Ooh the arguments are getting heated up in this thread :D
Thought I'd offer a light refreshment.
Nice. You've been waiting to use that, haven't you?

Ok, I'm taking down the names of all the carrier defenders here.
The next time you people bitch about the cable companies or magazine publishers charging you twice for the "one" thing you paid for I'm gonna be all over you.

I'm really tired of hearing this. First of all, people are not forced to buy from the iTMS, CDs still exist.
Second, the songs can be played on a Mac computer with iTunes, a Windows computer with iTunes, iPods. They can also be burned to an audio CD which can be played on millions of devices.
How is that "iPod-only"?!
To use on other devices requires you to have to go through a lot of unnecessary and time consuming hoops.
DRM should be unified - one DRM standard for ALL devices.

Any basic history textbook will include basic information about a person. Left handedness often is mentioned, so is deafness, blindness and other physical differences. Homosexuality isn't in the same league, now is it?
Why do so many people have a difficult time acknowledging the unique contributions of gay people?
Have you heard of Wounded Knee? This country has a horrible problem in dealing with minorities an those on the right seem most interested in suppressing anyone who doesn't fit into their narrow and erroneous interpretation of American demographics.
It's very, very sad.
Left handed people have always been persecuted and represent a significantly larger portion of society than homosexuals, plus they tend to do well in society regardless of the persecution.

They won't make Lion "uninstallable" on it. But it might be "unbearable" for all but the most casual of users. ;)
On a side note, I've noticed there's now a "Show downloads" button to the left of the Search Field:
Image (http://forums.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=283487&stc=1&d=1304105242)
You mean to the right of the search field, and when Lion is released w/o dbg libs running the Ram requirements and performance will improve smoothly for the Airs to run just fine.

Yeah, it looks like the logo of one of those local computer stores that are packed to rafters with boxes in a tiny shop with opaque-coated windows and put out pricing brochures on coloured paper folded neatly in half down the centre.
You know the ones of which I speak.
hahahaha. I'd built up a full mental image before I even clicked the digitimes link. Great post.
