IV core shud approach republicans who are saying no amnesty to law breakers.

Americans want immigrants like yourself who follow the rules and contribute to American society; it is our valued tradition. What we don't want is illegals walking all over our laws. The illegals hurt lawfull immigrants. I married an immigrant who followed the rules, she's very bitter over the way this country is pandering to the Hispanic Reconquista crowd. Hi All,
I have got fingerprint notice and appointment is after 3 weeks in Charlotte NC. I will not be available on that day and do not want to postpone the appointment.
I would like to prepone the appointment and I tried to find Charlotte USCIS local phone number but could not find anywhere. The only number is general 800 number and that was of no use.
Does anyone have any experience with Charlotte office? Can I just go there and will they do fingerprint any day before actual appointment? Charlotte is around 4 hours drive. It will be painful to drive there and find that they don't do fingerprint before appointment day. What day is normally good if I want to take the chance? Have anyone actually called them and prepone the appointment? What is the local office phone number?

Not sure if you can prepone. Call the customer service and check if they can schedule sooner. I think, given the July fiasco/rush, they schedule based on the availabilty of appointment in local office.
Also can you please share you reciept date/notice date and when you received your FP appointment. Was your case directly sent to TSC or got trasnferred to TSC from other center.

It is not possible to save any information on PDF forms if need to correct anything later..
Any idea how to save data on all the forms...
No..I tried all options..even hacking pdf security, print-to-file etc.;) . I left those pdfs open in my laptop and I never close my home laptop.

Thanks to everyone who responded. So in summary, it looks like:
* I can own a business on H1B.
* I cannot take any proceeds/profits from the business, but can use it to grow it further.
* I can work for the business as long as I don't take any money from it.
- Can a guru please confirm this?
* The business can buy me equipment and accessories to work.
As everyone suggested, I will consult a CPA and immigration lawyer to confirm but wanted to get some initial idea.

In either case she can always come here for interviews on a B2 visitor, I know people who have done/doing it for medical residency.

I see 2 sets of people in this forum. One who has recent priority date (2005-2007) and they want to process I-485 by receipt date and another set who has much older PD, they want I-485s processed by priority date.

After receiving the flowers on July 10, Emilio Gonzales went to the library to study about Gandhi. He spent 2 whole nights reading the life history of the Mahatma. Finally the Mahatma appeared right before his eyes and made him realize the injustice inflicted by the July VB revision. The rest is history :D

I have received my Card recently. See my signature for detail information.
I need advice/thoughts from you (Guys/Guru's) on some of the questions below. Any response will be really appreciated.
1. Got my 485 approval and GC (phycical Card) in hand. What is next? Do I need to get a Infopass appointment and get stamped before any abroad travel?
2. Before receiving 485 approval, my wife and kid went on a Vacation(abroad). Their H4 visa expired on passport, but they have h4 extension/approval till 2010? I was thinking of sending them to H4 stamping, but now that I have 485 approval for them, What should I do? Just bring them here and show GC at port of entry? (Ofcourse, I'll take their GC go abroad and bring them back)?
3. Anything i should be aware or concern about these situation?

Haven't received my GC yet.
I think, based on various experiences mentioned here, opening a SR, taking local immigration office appointments, etc is a way to get USCIS to look at your file.
I also read, if there was a pending EAD renewal, your case might get looked at and instead of renewing your EAD, USCIS will rather give you GC - provided PD is current and there are no other issues.
I know none of these 2 things have a documented backing...apart from people's experiences (which, I value a lot - don't get me wrong there).
My EAD was also up for renewal - filed in June. Got the "card production ordered" e-mail @ that yesterday. And, no change on the AOS case.

A little update; I was asked to send some of these pictures to Sveriges Ornitologiska F�rening (main ornithological society), and the pics are now on their home page (http://www.sofnet.org) with a short story (http://www.sofnet.org/index.asp?lev=2125&typ=1) . I am here in Australia on a short visit with a recently approved United States Conditional GC.Before my interview for GC in July09,I had already received my visit visa ,Single entry to Australia with restrictions on entry and exit dates..(I couldnot enter Australia after Aug1st and I have to return to US before Oct23'09)/..
Now ,my concern is if I can travel to India and back to Australia .Does the single entry restrcition still apply for me ..even with a GC?....(at the Sydney airport,the IO stamped on my visit visa' Not valid for Further travel'..does that mean I cannot travel outside Australia and return?..I need to visit India..in Sept.but I am worried how ?
