Last time I checked EB3 for ROW was "U". Did you somehow get "U" confused with "C" or have you stopped looking at visa bulletins?
But, I'm not sure if EB row would care that much...since their dates are ALWAYS current?

Then why do we need an attorney if we are there to correct them. We provide them with proper documentation. They make sure they put it correctly in the form. I can understand if a wrong document has been send and that caused the error but otherwise what are they for.
That was my feeling all this time. Why couldn't they just give us all the proper forms to fill (which we don't need lawyers for) and then correct the mistakes.

When i called last time when my wife EAD got approved, they told me the address on the application. So they should know.
Did you get Soft LUD after you filed change of address? If yes, then it's probably updated.
I did not get any soft LUD. Will all the updates happening, folks getting second FP, I wanted to make sure my case is not getting delayed due to some mistake either on their or my part. If nothing else, upon changing the address using online means, USCIS should have sent me a notice in mail at my new address to confirm the change, which I did not get. Hence the query.

however the speed at which the authorities have acted, and the almost total lack of support from the Congress could imply that politics here is (like desh) is quickly heading down the "what's in it for me" path.

I am surprised to hear that you were not allowed to board from India. As I mentioned, I have no idea what the procedures are right now. You might run into an official or Airline agent who is not aware of the rules. In my case, I traveled from the US couple of times with AP/Canada PR. First time it was AA/BA and the next time it was AA/Emirates. The checking you will go through will include both immigration and airline staff. If you are transiting thru London Heathrow, you will have to get past a passport check and security screening again to get to your boarding gate. This is where the Airport staff will check your papers. The gate agent will check your papers at the boarding gate and might even issue a different boarding pass. In case you have any doubts, I suggest you take another route or get a visa. The higher cost you might pay by flying Lufthansa for example, will offset the cost of a visa. You don't want to get stranded in any case. Good Luck.

Now that i have my I-140 approved for over an year now and never filed for 485, does the similar/same job/field apply in case of a job change or can i have a new job responsibility with a new employer and then port my PD based upon the approved 1-140 from previous employer?
You do not need similar job. You can even move from EB3 to EB2. But you will need to start over the whole 9 yards .. have a new PERM from new employer for the new job position, apply a new 140 . during applying 140, you request CIS to allocate you the old PD.

Hello IV friends,
My PD is May 2008 and currently i have an approved i-140. I have been wanting to change my job but always been scared of the impact on my GC processing as i heard if i change my job prior to filing for I-485 (which i cannot as the PD is not current), i would have start the process all over again. What are my options here? Thanks in advance.

I recently used the AP to enter the US. There were no issues in the US. However, the immigration official in India had some confusion trying to understand the AP. I had to show him a letter that my company's lawyer had given me listing the details of the AP and that I could use it for entering the US.

Do you have a lens that will let you get in closer? I'd like to see a portrait style shot of one of the birds with the odd bills.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Nik, I was actually using a 600mm + 1.4x for the birds since Avocets and Stilts are pretty shy. These are just small versions, though. Ask and ye shall receive; here's a portrait cropped from another shot. For the full size (a little bigger, 1200x1200) go to my gallery :)

Sorry for not responding to you earlier. You must have already responded by now. Just for the benefit of everybody who wants to respond to their RFEs.
I used priority USPS mail with delivery confirmation. The USPS service agent allayed my fears about delivery confirmation to PO BOX, he said they will scan the BAR CODE on the mail-envelope when they drop it in the PO BOX and it does not require any signature from any USCIS agent. He even said you can request for signature confirmation on PO BOX, I don't know how far he is right on that.
I mailed my photos with the Gold sheet which came along RFE, I mailed on Wednesday Nov 26th, 08, due to Thanksgiving Holiday it reached USCIS Texas Center on Sat Nov 29th, 08. I tracked my mail through USPS website.
My Case status was changed from RFE to Response to RFE received on Wednesday Dec 3rd, 08.
Just for your information, I got RFE on EAD for Identification Document before I received RFE on AP. That time I mailed my documents in ordinary post and I got my EAD in three weeks after RFE response. I don't recommend this approach as you cannot track the package.

Chest X-Ray - Required ONLY for TST reactions of > 5mm or if specific TST exception criteria met, or for an applicant with TB symptoms or immunosuppression (e.g., HIV). Attach copy of X-Ray Report.

I definitely need PP for 140 since by the time my H1 is due for renewal (after completing 6 years), My 1-40 will be 15 months older.
I cannot ask my employer to do 1 year h1B renewals as the lawyer fee is also added to it.
IF PP can be done at that time, i am saved for 3 years with one visa stamping and my employer is also saved for 3 years.

My infopass went well, in fact, it was good that I took it, the IO told me that due to some error on their part, my file is no longer with them, it was sent back to the main office, she requested my file back from the other office & they will process once it comes back, which takes approx. 2-3 weeks.
Due to that we didn't get my Wife's GC in the court, the IJ told us that since the primary don't have GC, she can't get it. Now we will have to wait another 5 months for her GC.
Does anyone know if the court date can be moved forward if I get my GC ?
